The ideal property should have plenty of land for the construction of a Temple, Retreat Facilities, Dorms and Lodging for resident monastics and visiting Masters of the Drikung Kagyu Lineage. Our mission is to maintain, honor and spread the teachings of the Buddha, and Tibetan Buddhism as preserved by the Drikung Kagyu lineage. This includes the preservation of Tibet’s endangered contemplative arts and rich cultural heritage. In addition Katsel Dharma Center wishes to provide a spiritual sanctuary for people to cultivate peace through meditation practices, adoption of good moral ethics and consistent engagement in virtue.
